I actually finished this like 5 days ago just never bothered to make a blog entry for it.
The first skadi for me to actually pay for and complete happens to be the 'rarest' one. I'm really happy to have it, because I honestly never expected to get it for a long time.

Its weird though, the one piece I've been trying to get since I started salvage with Pxtzle, which is supposedly the most common skadi drop, I have yet to get. Hate you skadi feet. :( They only drop when I happen to miss salvage.

Back and very busy

Hey all! I'm back and in full force. Came back about a month ago, and lately all my time has been spent playing FFXI due to my work taking forever to start my job. -_- Working at Sony Online Entertainment as a Game Master (how appropriate huh?) I've been neglecting my blog mostly because I'm probably going to forget a lot of stuff to put in here, and also my computer's graphics are complete shit. I haven't taken many SSs because of that but oh well.

When I came back, the last version update had just happened the day before and that's mostly the reason why I came back. COR AF2? DNC merits?! IM THERE BABY. So Ive been working my merits a lot recently, already finished DNC category and working on some things on my THF right now. Still its depressing, I'm at like 255/472 for merits. x.x Long way to go, and then plus I can never stop leveling jobs. Currently leveling WAR, but I think I've said that a few times on previous entries. I've been in love with WAR for a long time, and I seriously think that when I get it to 75 I'm going to be dedicating everything to it but I'm not gonna do that until I do, to see if I truely do love it at 75. I have it at 53 at the moment, and I could have it at 75 quickly, but the guilt of thinking I should be doing merits instead or farming gets in the way of that.

As you can see in the picture to the right, I'm at 3/6 COR af already :3 Posing with Nekura in our stylish Captain Crunch bodies (and that pic was taken by him, wish my graphics were that good ;;). I have done a Bastok and Jeuno but neither of them put out my hands or feet. Getting all this just makes me more and more want to put all my money into my Corsair's gear, and I have been wanting to do this for awhile but stuff keeps getting in the way, like my Marduk's Jubbah which took a whole month of farming and now another piece I have to get money for.

This thing is surprisingly taking me awhile to get the money for. x.x As well as the ingots have risen 50k since I got that. I got incredibly lucky with jubbah, getting a hagun drop from antlion ENM and getting 4 angel skins in a row from Kuftal it took a big chunk out of that 8-9 mil I needed. But nothings dropping for me for this, so its going kinda slow. And I just tabbed over to the game right now while writing this and just got told something about this subject....

FFXI Hiatus

Well, about two weeks ago now I had to cancel my FFXI account. At first, it was to try and salvage my relationship with my husband, but now its because I've left him and I don't have my own computer to play it on, nor the income to warrent spending 24 bucks a month on a game. I do miss it, and I'm constantly bugged by friends to come back but I've gotta get my life on track without a husband before I can come back full force. I've already got a job, just looking for a place of my own and then want to get settled for about a month before I even consider reactivating. I'm posting in my RL journal for now, thats been dead for over a year, but just thought it was more appropriate than posting about all that in my FFXI one. Well hello! Bet you guys thought I died, but I have just been way too lazy to actually update my LJ. For a bit, I didn't have anything to put in here but now it feels like I have so much new things the past month that I think I'm going to forget about alot of the things that happened (but I'm sure Frisk will remind me if I forget something).

I've been doing Salvage since the release and I've moved between quite a few different LSs over the time. But over all that time the only piece I could show for it was Marduk hands. Well I recently got 35 Skadi Visor a few weeks ago now, currently 1/3 for that but I'm in no real rush to finish that piece. Was trying to raise money to help gear out my COR well but lo and behold the next week we go to Zhayolm and floor 5 frog decides to be nice to me.

I really didn't expect to get a body as one of my first good pieces and I'm sorta in shock still that I'm going to be getting Jubbah. Well now I'm kinda going to money making overdrive, and SE has been nice to me where I farm. Been getting alot of drops and I'm already halfway to making the money for Jubbah. I tried PCC again duoing with Falisa + Kaylea and Frisk. 0/52 on that now... I have never seen it drop from anyone's orb. Also doing alot of ENMs and hoping those put out. I'm still 1/3 on the Salvage pieces so trying to get as much as I can before I'm 3/3. Sadly, my static for Ashu has stopped so no income from that anymore. It was alot of a nuisance anyways, making sure people could come and people were being half assed about it most of the time. I went about 0/7 on my zerehs before we quit.

Lets see whats next... Well the last update I believe I said I was leveling thf! I got that to 75 quite awhile ago now, before I even got the skadi head I believe. I really barely use it to be honest, mostly only if Frisk and I farm and we barely do that anymore together. Still trying to gear it out of course though! And its another thing on my merit list :x I added everything up today and I realized I still have almost 280 merits left on Fal to finish every category, not counting when they release DNC merits. Then I have alot to merit on Kaylea after that when she gets to 75. She got 73 a few weeks ago and I haven't really had the time to actually seek for pt on her. But oh well, shes at the level I need her to do stuff decently and she can wear errant :D

I've also got into a static of sorts with the most recent update of the ZNMs. I find it alot of fun fighting new NMs and clearing the paths to the higher tiers. We split off into two smaller groups for Tier 1 and 2, and then pair up to defeat tier 3 and eventually the higher tiers. Each of the groups have a person clearing access to Hydra, Khim and Cerb so eventually we'll have clearance to all of them 2x and then eventually Pandemonium 2x! I've gotten Enkidu subligar and Earth grip so far from the NMs (i'm aimming for enkidu cap and mittens as well :3)

Also, my LS was the first LS on Unicorn to defeat Dark Ixion. That's a really fun fight, watching random mages get a hoof to the face with Trample or a group of 6 bystanders get 1 shot by another of its TP moves. I managed to outlot a few other people and snag the first Azoth of the server for my DNC and THF (hidden effect: examine x100).

I'm sure I forgot something but I know I'll be reminded of it after the fact.

Feels like all I have to update lately is just about the gear I happen to get! Life hasn't changed much since my last post. I have gotten Kay to 64 RDM and Fal is up to 65 THF. Kinda been slow I feel like, mostly because I have a lot of shit I'm doing ingame/IRL that it feels like I can never get a lot of time to level lately. Well anyways, I've been doing dynamis for awhile and I sold my mahatma slops back in January because I was the only one lotting BRD legs and it had been awhile since last drop so I was like w/e it'll drop soon! Fast forward to a week ago, they finally drop and make me 4/6 BRD AF (CURSE YOU, YOU FUCKIN MUFFIN HAT)

And as I said earlier, I've been leveling THF lately and there was a server maintenance yesterday, so I decided to camp a NM for a weapon for THF. Well it popped and I didn't get claim (but had to watch a NIN solo DD with like 5 mage back up and still almost die all the time). So 9 hours later... well wait.. 12 1/2 hours later since it took so long to pop, I get claim and kill. A new shiny toy for my THF I can't even equip yet!

Well my bard has gotten quite a few items the past few weeks. It's oh so sexy. Did Temenos for the first time in forever and the first run dropped SMN (which i got for AF feet +1) and the 2nd run dropped BRD which I got as well! Sexy Choral Cuffs +1 that I've had the Apollyon piece for almost a year now. I also got Manteel yesterday, which I can't believe I have after all this time as 75 BRD. I am a very happy Bard right now.

Well it's been quite some time since I've written an actual blog entry! I guess it's because I start looking through other people's blog, and see how well written they are and get a little self conscious, not wanting to write a blog because I don't want to make a fool of myself. But practice makes perfect, I'm sure I'll get a better at writing the more I do it. Just need to learn how to get long winded and talk more about myself! <.<

Been very busy as I usually am (and its usually just because I make sure to keep myself that way). From a few posts ago as you can see, I finished DNC finally. I got it to 73 and kinda stopped caring about the 75 rush since I would have no use for it at 75. So I just waited until I saw people in LS asking for merit parties and would join them. Took me about two weeks to get from 73 to 75 because of that. I guess now that it's at 75 I really do enjoy it, because I don't really have to depend on other people as much to get things done. I can go kill this NM, go farm this all by myself because DNC can solo very well.

My Ashu static broke, so my money flow has pretty much stopped. I still do the BCNM thing but if you've known me for very long, you would know my luck with that. 0/49 so far on PCC BCNM. I remember a long time ago, I almost wanted to quit the game because any area of the game I attempted to try for money I never got anything.. Spending a week in Upper Delkfutt netted me 1 Pallas bracelet, wasted a few stacks of seals in attempts for any money drops and got nothing.. It can get pretty depressing after awhile. Don't really know where I was going with that, I guess just got into a rant. My plans for the money problem I guess will come later on in this entry. :3

I guess in Linkshell news, pretty much everything has been the same. Doing Salvage when people are online, the usual dynamis/limbus runs. We hit up sky every so often, finally got some sexy Crimson Finger Gauntlets I've been wanting for such a long time. Also managed to snag some AF2.

Wut? I have SMN? I actually got to use it at Tiamat this week. I forgot how much fun that job is at big HNM fights like that. Man that elemental siphon is hawt. Frisk has been a loot whore too lately. I think he got Koga hands, Hope torque, Prudence torque, Usukane sune-ate...I'm sure I'm missing something!

Well as I was bitching about a little bit ago, my pockets are a bit too light for my liking. And most of the things I can think of for money would require more people to help out or would need another account. I really don't feel like sitting around waiting for a friend to quit so I can steal their account (because that just -sounds- fucked up), so I decided to level another character. Her name is Kaylea and so far I've gotten her to 43 RDM. Getting close to the annoying levels, what with limit break quests and such, but I really feel like RDM is going to fly by. Everyone wants one so it's not like it'll be hard to get parties for (though I have had my flag up for several hours while writing this blog :x). At 60, Frisk and I plan to have him play Kay so we can duo with Falisa's THF. Once those are both at 75, can start hitting up some NMs for monies!

Well its 5 in the morning, and I really don't feel like typing anything else right now. See you later!

It's Valentines (well kinda...) and much has happened, so much that Falisa is lazy and as a joke I said I would write her latest blog entry not thinking that she would actually agree on it... Well as you can see that didnt go as planned.

So in the Valentine's spirit we did the event together an got ourselves some signed love clubs. Falisa didnt have a great deal of luck with it and kept on getting low scores for the matchmaking :P So it took a few tries before she got a high enough score to get her club.

Fali recently started up salvage with us and I managed to kill her while I was charmed as a frog! (that's what she gets for not kissing me an turning me back)

We've continued to do more Nyzul Assaults throughout the weeks, managed to get another drop but this time on a level20 Boss floor, it's too bad it was lost due to 'someone' not having enough room >.>

Probably a good time for her to upgrade her gobbie bag eh?

On top of her losing those boots she lost lots on an Astute Cape too, sucky week right? Well not so much, the next day we went back to Sea and BAM! another cape dropped, grats Falisa! The following day our LS popped x2 Jailer of Love and without knowing she managed to walk away with a Novia Earring for her Bard (loot whore!) it's nice to see her get some new toys an she's been really happy about it as well :)

Her DNC also got some love in the last few days, we made her a merit party an she managed to hit 72. So now she can finally wear her purple gear that she's been waiting awhile to use, next step 75 slacker!

Other than all that, we've just been duoing some ENM's and such for monies which has been a lot of fun too.

Hay guyz! Its be blog entry tiem!

Life has been pretty bland on FFXI lately. :o Nothing really new or exciting the past few weeks but that doesn't mean I'm not having fun. Although Dancer is annoying me.. >.> Been considering taking a break from it because its been so hard getting parties and campaign is starting to get monotonous but theres someone I was kinda duoing with in the lower levels that wants to start up again this weekend so maybe I'll get a few levels by next week. :)

I've really been considering leveling DRK because I really want to level something that does damage and DRK may actually get some action with Pxtzle in the zerg fights. And I'd be fighting along Frisk! ;) *insert Pxtzle comment about Frisk's woman #43* I think I'll do DNC > THF > DRK and maybe keep DRK at 72 to try out that Ra/ex Kraken club. But yeah other than that, I've just been doing Ashu and finally did Nyzul a few days ago. :o Im also trying to save up some AP to start doing salvage regularly with Pxtzle people. Anyways, not much else to say so heres a Ashu action shot (can you guess who the picture is of?)

Hey all its my weekly update :o Can finally stop hearing the bitching from Kia and Frisk "update your blog!" but...they'll still say it tomorrow though i know it <_< Finally got stuff done this week...actually been quite busy!

Started doing campaign with Kiarax and Frisk alot and that turned into a static for...well...alot of things with them along with Demogorgan, Tangerine and Whytemike. We've been doing Ashu Talif BCNM everyday (which is incredibly easy), and Nyzul Isle alot, up to floor 45 now. I remember I was all worried about how I was going to be making decent money and starting up a nyzul static and I just happen to stumble into one without even really trying! It's been alot of fun, I'm really glad that I've been able to be a part of this even if that sounds cheesy :x Oh yeah and something I've been ecstatic about the past few days. Did Floor 40 for the first time with my group and..Denali drops! Mike and Kia both passed for me and I was like spamming thank you in the pt chat lol Still really happy that I got it but darn it I haven't been able to try it out on a HNM yet ; ;

Also been leveling DNC as much as I can as I've said before. Been pretty annoying though because it's hard to get parties.. Can have my flag up for a whole day and no invites and no one ever looking for party so I do lots of campaign. Slow but surely I guess >_> And I promised myself not to touch another job until I got DNC to 75.

Well I haven't shown my gear in awhile! I like doing these types of things to see how far I've come since my last time (and the last time I did this was a long time ago >_>) So anyways heres some shots of my gear!

COR Quick Draw setup

This is the setup you'll see me on most of the time in Pxt events. :o Comes to around +27 AGI and +7 Magic accuracy at the moment. Only need 4 pieces to be completely finished. Denali feet and body, Federal Army Mantle (and thats just me being lazy.. rank 5 windy atm), and breeze ring. Decided I'd buy the breeze ring after the few items I need for COR and DNC's TP setup. Just need to get off my ass and get rank 6 Windy for the backpiece.

COR TP setup

I guess you could call this my DNC TP setup too because it's exactly the same when I get DNC to 75. There some things that are lol but currently working on gil for Brutal Earring to replace that crappy spike earring (31/75 coins), and after that buying Dusk feet and Peacock Charm. I also decided to switch to denali from pahluwan legs for the little bit more of acc. And they just look cooler. :o

COR WS setup

This also needs alot of work but this will kinda come 2nd in my eyes to the TP setup. I really need crimson hands and peacock charm for this so I can take out some other pieces that are purely for RACC and put some AGI or RATK in their spot. Also decided to switch to denali legs for the AGI mod for Slug Shot.

BRD buffs setup

This used to be my main job but I barely touch it anymore now that I've been in Pxtzle. Its pretty much complete except for some +1 things and its missing a tamas ring but if you read my last post you would know why I don't have that. >_> I'm also waiting for Bard's Roundlet from Sandy...and if you know my luck with dynamis...yeaaah. lol Going to buy a Sha'ir manteel as well when I'm done with buying the things I need for COR and DNC.

BRD CHR setup

This only need 3 pieces for me to be satisfied with it with the exception of the hard to get gear (marduk in particular). Still waiting for that bard's roundlet, goliard feet from Nyzul and Choral Cuffs +1, which I've been 1/2 on item for about 6 months now. @.@ Using Marduk's hands in the meantime and zenith feet since they have CHR... lol Comes to around +45 CHR at the moment

SMN

Oh yeah... I have SMN... o.o Last time I geared up this job was about a month and a half ago when I first joined Pxt. Rarely touch it anymore.. Just really needs AF2 and I still haven't even bought it a 2nd ring since I tossed my tamas lol

Not much to say about this except that it's a work in progess!

Hey there. Haven't written in awhile.. been blowing off writing another entry because didn't really know what to say. Been pretty busy lately on FFXI and in real life as well.

I joined a HNM linkshell by the name of Pxtzle on Unicorn a few weeks ago. I know I said I wanted to wait awhile to join a serious endgame LS but this LS was looking for COR and I just couldn't resist putting in an app. And I have to say, it was a good decision. Everyone in this LS is great and funny, definatly makes the game alot more fun that just having a social LS. It feels odd though because in every LS I've been in, BRD has been my main but in this LS I go Corsair to everything. It is nice though because I really do enjoy the job and when I was first told to come COR to everything my reaction was "Are you sure? o.O" But I really am glad I joined. I've met alot of new people and it just makes the whole game a lot more enjoyable (boy how I missed those long Fafnir camps...well....not really but anyways!) They've also got like 5 relics in the LS.. At first I was "Oh hey look an Aegis thats pretty cool" .... "Omg 3 Aegis wow" ... "A gjallarhorn? xO!" .... "A kikoku too!?"

I also said I was leveling Dancer! As you probably noticed from the post above, I've been busy leveling that since it came out. It's a very interesting to say the least and it makes me excited to level for the better armor and new JA.. One thing I really look forward to at 75 is the ability to solo alot of things. I can't wait to see this job's solo/small man potential. Another thing that is nice about this job is that its best TP setup is the exact same setup Corsair uses so whatever I get for one works well for the other so...yeah I don't really need to worry about alot of the gear when I get to the 70s. I was also planning on leveling White Mage as well but I'm not so sure about that anymore. It's kinda stuck at 55 right now and I'm thinking of selling all the gear for it. I dunno we'll see about that one.

So yeah kinda right now my goals in the game are getting dancer to 75 and work at getting monies for Brutal Earring, Dusk Feet, PCC and pops for Swift belt NM. I'm also trying to setup a Nyzul Isle static but that is proving to be very difficult. Most of the people in Pxtzle that want it are already part of a static so yeah.. we'll have to see about that. So yeah finally wrote up a post! So see you all whenever I have more to write :o

FFXI withdrawal

Been a few weeks since my last entry (except for a random one I posted while I was half awake that I deleted). It's not that I haven't had anything to post about, just didn't really know what to say. I've been spending most of my time lately on the game working at some goals I set for myself to complete before the expansion came out. I did pretty well I do say so myself hehe

First was to get a few jobs I didn't have at subjob level up to that. Got SAM, then BLM and then RDM up pretty close to 37 and will finish them all with exp scrolls over time. Not in really any hurry to cap them at 37 because I'm not doing any endgame activities at the moment. I did want to get White Mage as close to 68 as I could (can't afford Noble's Tunic and don't want to ding without it) but I decided against it and just focused on getting my merits up. That really didn't work out too well either... Things got really busy this week with my husband so really had no time to play FFXI except late at night. But oh well, I was kinda losing interest with just all that meriting.. couldn't wait for the expansion.

I am so excited to level Dancer... I just can't wait. Of course the PC version for FFXI had to get delayed and I still don't even have it yet. I had to go out of town on Wednesday for Thanksgiving and I'm still not home, writing this post from my parent's computer. I still haven't gotten a call from the Gamestop I preordered my game from... I really hope its there when I get home Monday morning. I swear it was torture Wednesday when I saw everyone posting on Blue Gartr about their first experiences on the game (and got some weird looks from my hubby when I told him this) but come Monday... Leveling marathon. Husband isnt gonna be home for an entire day and I'm gonna hole myself up on the computer and just level Dancer! I'm a loser, yes I know this... Most people do :o lol

Well no screenshots for this post since I'm away from home but I do have some really old ones on here from when I first started playing.. Really bad graphics but it sure does bring back some memories!
